Music Therapy
Evidence-based, Personalized and Heart-centered for Individuals with Special needs
What is Music Therapy?
From toddlers to young adults, every student (or individual) is invited to explore, create, and grow through music.
American Music Therapy Associatin (AMTA) defines music Music Therapy as “the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a board-certified music therapist”.
At Hug Music, our music therapy is a fun, interactive program designed for children with special needs and all abilities. Led by board-certified music therapists (MT-BC), sessions invite children to sing, play instruments, move, and even create their own music.
Through enjoyable music interventions, children improve vital life skills including attention span, focus, behavioral management, impulse control, fine-motor skills, speech, emotional regulation, communication skills to name a few.
No prior experience is required, just curiosity and openness to explore.
