Ernesto plays multiple instruments such as piano, guitar, bassoon, and various woodwind instruments at a professional level. He is a dedicated and active member of the academic and popular music scene in New York and Miami. As a popular musician, he has shared the stage with artists like The Beach Boys (with John Stamos on the drums,) Lenny Pickett (SNL music director) or Tom “Bones” Malone (The Blues Brothers.).
